Last night Roxi and I went to see
The Taipans play their last show with my brother Garrett on drums. He and his girlfriend Nicole are moving to New York this summer to pursue their respective careers. The Taipans played a pretty energetic show that was a fitting sendoff to Garrett as well as guitarist Naresh Vempala who is also leaving the group to concentrate on his graduate school studies.
After the show ended, we headed downtown to enjoy the post-Festival activities of the night in the streets of Lafayette. Although most of the Festival activities were over for the night, there were still lots of drunken partying in the streets. Tonight Roxi and I will be volunteering at the big stage so we will be in the middle of the action.
